Starting a new project at work.
A simple app that will display various html pages and pdfs. It needs to be updated (not by me), and be searchable by the user. The search should include searching html pages as well as pdfs.

How to implement Google Ajax Search with Flex?
What Data types should i use to store the data, and make it easily maintainable at the same time?
So far, i’v only been familiar with XML, here are a few resources i found that might help:
- Flex Quick Starts – written by Flex Expert Aral Balkan
- E4X and Flex – This particular articles goes into explaining way XMLList and XML variables can be monipulated.

i’v decided to give packages a shot. (hopefully this way i’ll be able to give restricted access to the person who will be updating the app, without breaking it….welll…. then again… i could ofcourse make a whole seporate “Update” screen for her… but thats waaaay out of my league for now)
for some reason it(stupid packages) doesnt want to work for me. Zeus, where are you?
Hope you found the Flex Quickstarts helpful and best of luck with your new project!
